Why subscribe?

Proverb, maxim, axiom, aphorism, adage, call it what you will, these short pithy sayings offer advice well worth considering.  They have stood the test of time because of their ability to “hit the nail on the head”, which is itself a malaphor, an unintentional blending of an aphorism and a malapropism.  In my “Grandpa Says” examination of old sayings, the kind my grandmother was famous for using, we won’t be defining any of these rarely used and difficult to pronounce words.  Instead, we’ll drill down into the essence of each ‘saying’ to reveal their wisdom and applicability to today’s world where truth seeking has become complicated.  You’ll be nodding your head in agreement as you intuitively recognize the astuteness of Grandpa’s selected sayings.
